I HAVE to go to Charleston, SC this wknd. We're going to a wedding Friday evening, nothing is set in stone for Saturday, after I ride my bike we'll likely be on Folly beach if the weather permits. Anyone have any suggestions for a good seafood place that also has steak and any bars that have live music, no dress code and PBR?
Charleston is not my type of vacation place, I could think of a lot of other places and things I'd rather be doing.

While in Folly Beach check out Taco Boy. Best seafood tacos I've ever had! They have live music on the patio during the weekends I think. Also right outside of Folly is an out of the way seafood place called Bowen's Island. It is a really laid back place(resturant is on the dock of the James river). At Bowen's get the Frogmore Stew.

Downtown Charleston is a ton of fun with some pretty good food. No place I went to had a dress code. There are a ton of bars that you can just walk around and see what they have going on that night.

I lived there for years from age of 14-19. Its been a while since I've been but if the Black magic cafe and Lost dog are still open I'd check them out. Downtown is the place to go for real food and good time

Another vote for poogans and taco boy. Poogans has the best shrimp and grits ever. Bowens island is a kick ass experience.

I also like a cold one and some fried cheese balls from Snapper Jacks bar on Folly.

I've been working hard at getting out of this but under the circumstances I have no argument. The wedding party(family) is throwing a "beach party" on folly beach Saturday. I can do that as the beach is the one place I can actually relax. Well, I just got educated on folly beach, NO ALCOHOL, wtf! I'm beside myself now. How do you throw an adult party, on the beach, with NO ALCOHOL??? I haven't been down to the area in over 10yrs. I remember not wanting to go back, lol.
I'm praying a friend in Monks Corner blows off work and we can take his boat out:D

I need seafood Saturday nite, with steak. I don't eat seafood.

Bury your cooler in the sand, under a towel. Or so I hear...

Not a bar, per se, and no steaks, but I went to this place back around 2001-2 and it was the best oysters I ever had. Shithole looking place way the fawk out in the middle of the swamp. Walk in and the dude at the counter just asks what kind of beer do you want. Then points you to a big cable spool with chairs around it. I had to ask a friend the name of it. He said it burned a few years ago, but has been rebuilt.

No oysters this time of year, but that deal is awesome. All you can eat looking over water and drinking beer. Flat out awesome.

They do the same thing with shrimp whenever they are in season.

I've drank on every beach I've been on that you couldn't. I've been told that they enforce it down there? Trust me, if someone can get away with it I'm the man;)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

The Tides Hotel on Folly has an outside bar and live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm sure you'll be fine in your water shoes, cutoff jeans and wifebeater

The Pourhouse on James Island has music every weekend too I think. http://www.charlestonpourhouse.com/

Fleet Landing off East Bay Street behind the market has good seafood...never had a steak there but I'd say it would be good. Plenty of good places to get seafood and steak downtown if you don't mind paying for it... High Cotton, Husk, Halls Chophouse... All places I've never been, but have heard they're good. I'd rather have JB's Smokeshack out on Johns Island myself.

Folley used to be legal open container until last year.
coc punks caused some trouble...threw some beer on a state reps daughter...no beer.

They are Nazi's down there this year...and carrying a container onto Folley is consent to search.
We were not hasseled in cups, but saw 3-4 tickets given out in koozies 2 weeks ago

Per our earlier discussion........
Le Cafe' de Windrock.
Steaks and  are served there with no prejudice.
