I need some help to beat "the system"...

nothing illegal at all...we're just trying to earn points on a card, and we don't earn them if we use the "convenience" checks they send with the bill...


If somebody local has access to a credit card machine, either post or send me a PM and I'll give you the details...

yep...got a volunteer already...2% if you swipe it, 2.5% if you punch it in...

both rates are better than the 2.9% PayPal charges... :D

basically...getting a cash advance without paying the ridiculous rate (over double the actual rate)...

just want to run the card through a machine, and after the money posts to the person's account, have them write me a check (or cash) for that amount minus the percentage that Visa charged them...

could just write one of the convenience checks, but they won't give us the "points" that the card earns if we do it that way...

all having to do with paying realtor's fees...

thanks, but no thanks...the fees are for selling ours...

we've got a family-owned house we're trying to move into (at no cost :D )...but we've got to sell ours first...
