Has anyone noticed this thing has a built in outlet above the power cord? Just realized this a few minutes ago as I am rearranging the cables on my A/V stuff....

Thought it was interesting, helps clear up a surge protector spot for me!

thats been pretty standard since the 80s...iidea is you plug the tv in to it and when you power off the cable box both go to sleep.

Makes sense now that I see it. Ive never noticed it before today!

Mine works all on a system off button, so once I hit that everything shuts off. I felt safer with the TV plugged directly into the surge protector.
