Anyone got any connections? Our phone and internet has been down three days and we can’t get a straight answer on when it will be back up or what caused the problems. We’re pretty well dead in the water with out email

Ours is out out. We use outlook so no emails coming or going. We have a way to see what’s been coming in and we’re at 3500 emails coming in so far this week

Do you use charter as your email server/smtp? Or outlook hosted solution or outlook SMTP?

I worked for them year's ago sounds like a problem at the head they are both on the same Spectrum only other thing that it could be is noise on the line somewhere

if you are using outlooks SMTP then it shouldn't really go through their servers. Does email work on your phone?

They could be running an in-house server that now can't see the outside world.

Call AT&T damnit.

Why call AT&T? Our business service is through AT&T and for 5 lines and super crappy slow internet (less than 1mbs up or down) and it's stupid expensive for what it is, $600ish/mo. To upgrade to 5 lines and fiber (only 20mbs up and down wtf?) it would be nearly $800/mo. Called spectrum and 5 lines, Internet 100mbs down and 15mbs up was less than $300/mo. What am I missing here?

That you are in a bad situation. I was trying to mess with Logan. The 20 mbs business fiber services I’ve dealt with have all provided better service than charter around the Asheville area. I know AT&T has issues as well as all providers do. The residential fiber from AT&T is unbelievable and speeds from 25/25-1000/1000 mbs and that’s actual speed on a wired network connection.

Why is the price so far out of whack tho? It's insane for no more than what we're getting

For what I know is what it takes to get the services to you and the support that the customer receives from AT&T. The fiber services are constantly monitored on our side and if something happens to the service or the customer is having problems we are dispatched immediately. Which means @Loganwayne would be able to get and send emails long before charter has him going.

When I got internet, I switched the AT&T land line to internet, & ported my phone # to my cell. So, only internet I've known. They call it U-verse, even though it's still by hard wire. Maybe once every 15 or so months, I have a problem. When I feel sure it's the internet, I call them. Next day [or sooner] they're here. Generally, they trace the problem, back up the street, to a main box, & it's repaired quickly. Last time they were here, the guy ran a new cable from the junction box, back to some Main box, about 3 city blocks. Basically doing Upgrades, as problems arise. It's Never cost me anything yet, & I find their service to be much Faster than Dish or Direct. No Fiber in Mount Holly yet, that I know of!
