heading to TN next week with girls softball team, 12-13 year olds. We’ll have some downtime while there, possibly a day or 2 with only one game. What’s there to do around town?

Go visit Adam Macke?

I lived in chattanooga for a while. The aquarium is nice. Universal joint is a cool place to eat. Walnut street walking bridge is cool and there are some shops near by.

Ruby Falls is a pretty cool cavern tour with a big underground waterfall. "Rock City" at Lookout Mountain was a decent waste of an afternoon.

Duane

Aretha Frankinsteins for breakfast. Do not take the team it only hold about ten people. Eat the grits

Can confirm. Bluegrass Grill if you like a little less attitude with your meal.

1000% should go to Tremont Tavern. Champy's for chicken, Taqueria Jalisco for tacos, Sitar for Indian. Big River sucks but is dir cult across the street from the 2nd coolest climbing gym in the eastern half of the country - you can climb the outside of the parking garage, on glass.

Rock City is a waste, ruby falls is a artificial dud tourist attraction. The walking bridge is cool, the aquarium rivals Atlanta, duck boats are dumb, BoatHouse for seafood and views. Lookouts may be at home if you're into baseball, tickets are $6 (?) and the beer is cold. Chattanooga Futbol Club is one of the rowdiest sporting events you can still feel comfortable taking family to.

Go drive up W Road. Don't research it, just put it in GPS and do it

AOP is 40 min west of town, Prentice Cooper forest is 15 min from downtown - Snoopers rock is a 1-10 min walk from the car depending on where you park and is a banger of a view, Ocoee is 40 min east of town

Heaven & Ale has an amazing brewery/bar on the north shore, Hutton and Smith is an award winning brewery

Seriously just ask, always happy to make recommendations

Ribs at Big River Grille. While you're there, pickup a growler of Southern Flyer and drop if off in Asheville on your way home.
Please.
Ruby Falls is cool, as is Rock City. We like aquariums too and the one there is our favorite anywhere.
It's a great town and a very walkable downtown area
