Looking for dirt cheap internet...I dont game or any of that bs so im looking for something with an inexpensive monthly fee that is dependable! Any advice?!? I live in the Iredell County area!

I like Century Link (high speed wireless). It's $35-$40 a month.

Chad. call AT&T and see if you can get a new user rate. It was like 20 a month when I first signed up, for the first year. Their service has been reliable and the help number has been easy to use as well

wha? im paying almost $60 for my road runner! $35ish is where they suckered me in 6 years ago, and its gone up every year since then.

Call them and tell them you're leaving unless they can get it down to what you're willing to pay.. From dealing w/ TWC, Directv, etc... if you pretty much tell them i'm willing to pay $x or leave... they'll generally get your bill close to that.

Yeah, we were having speed and latency problems (with TW internet only) I called and complained, nicely, that we could get U-Verse for a lot less and it promised faster service... got our monthly charges cut in half for a year. ;)

THEN they actually sent out a tech and a maintenance crew to discover there were problems in the line somewhere outside our neighborhood. It took a good month for them to fix it, but now we actually have decent download speeds.

Double ditto... after the constant rise in cost, we dropped their "digital phone", ditched the "Bird" in favor of Windstream DSL (phone & bandwidth is less the TWC phone) & dropped to basic cable (didn't watch anything outside of that anyway). Surprisingly, the DSL bandwidth is BETTER than TWC! I haven't done any measurements, but it doesn't lag like RR used to when all 3 of us were surfing...

Prior to Windstream, the only option other than TWC was the old AllTel("Ah, Hell") with a minimum $90/month for a POTs line
