$9000 obo - No Trades
This Jeep has been my primary rock crawling rig for a few years, but now it's time to make room for other hobbies. I always take good care of my toys, and this is no exception. I have spent the past couple of weeks making sure everything is in good working order mechanically so you should have no concerns for many years to come. It has a recent Virginia state inspection. Previously I ran 35" tires, and even 37" tires will fit, but it is currently sitting on almost new 33" Dunlop's. This Jeep has survived some of the hardest trails around Virginia with little issue, and once you give the suspension a good look you'll understand why.
The good
• 5.5" Rock Krawler X-Factor long arm lift (upgradable to coil-overs)
• 1" body lift (for easier cleaning)
• 1" motor lift (for optimal drive train angles)
• Steering gear skid plates
• Baird limiting straps
• 33" Dunlop Radial Mud Rover with 90% tread
• Pro-Comp Alloy rims
• Ramsey 9000lb Winch
• Custom rock rails/sliders under doors
• Tow hooks front and rear
• Brand new YJ heavy duty steering components
• Rebuilt AX-15 manual transmission, with recent bearings, seals, and synchronizers
• NP231 transfer case with recent bearings and seals
• TBD Slip Yoke eliminator
• Custom Woody's rear drive shaft
• Custom Ford 8.8 rear axle, with disk brakes
• Rockcrusher rear diff cover
• Yukon 4.88 differential gears front and back
• Rear Ford Racing Limited Slip differential
• Brand new outer seals on the rear axle
• Brand new clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, and throw-out bearing
• Brand new engine valve seals
• Recently rebuilt oil pump and pickup
• Recent full system radiator flush
• Has all the factory wiring and switches for a hardtop (defrost and wiper)
• Has all the factory wiring for fog lights if you want to add them
The bad
• No carpet. . . because I never wanted it. Much easier to clean after a hard weekend of wheeling.
• Tear in the driver's seat. All jeep seats do it, and mine is no exception. You can by really nice covers for $150, or a junk yard seat for less when you can find them. Personally I was planning on aftermarket suspension seats.
• There is some minor surface rust in a couple places, but nothing severe. I always used rust converter when needed.
• While the radiator has been flush several times in the last couple weeks, there are still trace amounts of rust in the system. The current fill has a good amount of an anti-rust additive which should clear the remaining rust over the next couple months. There are no known leaks, either in the radiator, hoses, nor heater core.
• The top, while somewhat newer, has a couple of ¼" tears here and there. But overall is in great shape.
Now my biggest questions are, where is the rust, how does it drive, and what caused the owner to replace all the items such as the bearings, seals, gaskets, clutch etc?
What would be your big concerns on this unit?
