I'm going to replace the O2 sensors on my wife's '97 Chevrolet Blazer(163k & no telling if they've ever been replaced) when replacing the catalytic converter(broke inside & rattles) & was wondering if I should replace the sensors with OEM or would aftermarket work? I've read that Jeeps seem to be picky & prefer OEM electrical parts & I saw that first hand with a Duralast IAC valve compared to a Mopar one but didn't know if that applied for all makes/models or not. If OEM is the way to go then does anyone recommend any websites for OEM Chevrolet parts?

for a factory setup, there isn't a significant difference, if you're doing extensive ecm reprogramming, then the OEM are highly recommended due to consistent performance. lately, i've had good luck with oxygensensors.com, usually about $37-45 per sensor for newer type heated O2's(with free shipping w/ a $50 order). delivery is almost always 3 days or less. I've had good luck with Denso(the Walker sensors are made by Denso).
