I have a 91 Wrangler. It has an 4.3 vortec with a automatic trans in it. I want to change to a manual 5 speed. I have a 5spd that came out of a 86 s-10, it was bolted up to a 2.8. Question is will it bolt up, or do I need a new bellhousing to match the 4.3? Just wondering if anyone has done this before? Thanks

2.8 is diffrent bell housing than 4.3.

4.3 - stright 6 - sbc - bbc - 6.2 & 6.5 - ls motors = same bellhousing.

so you have lots of choices to pic from.

input shafts shouldnt matter, it would just depend on what clutch/flexplate you use. output would be what you need to consider.

get you a 5 speed tranny and trans case from a 90 model up fullsize chevy truck. it will bolt to your 4.3. (the 90 model up has the front drive shaft on the driver side)
