I want to stright pipe my 04 2500hd chevy truck. I was wondering if anyone have the equiment to do that around town. I live near WInston so the winston greensboro area would be best. It would be awesome to make it duels with stright pipes. let me know what you guys think. thanks

your gonna have to add a cat and an o2 sensor for the new side. and reprogram the ecu to read it. unless it is a diesel, then roll smoke!

They are factory true dual up to the muffler, so its already got 2 cats and 4 sensors, just hack it of behind the rearmost cat and go from there. Thats how mine is any how.

I do exhaust for a living. You need to put some type of muffler. If you straight pipe it you could lose to much back pressure and lose power.

if stright pipe is not the way what is the best way to get it the loudest?

Take it to an exhaust shop and spend the money on some chambered mufflers. Don't know if you've ever heard a stock v8 without mufflers, but it would sound like a huge piece of shit straightpiped.

Why do you want it "the loudest"?
have you ever driven a non mufflered rig on a long trip?
The constant drone can literally drive you damn near insane.

I thought loud DD were cool, until I graduated high school.
But thats just me.

dont straight pipe it, mine is straight right now because i have been to busy to finish the exhaust and it sounds like complete shittttttttttt, get some decent mufflers and put them on it will be plenty loud enough and sound a whole lot better than straight. believe me i have been riding around with straight pipes for 2 days now and im about to go insane because it sounds so bad
