chevy axle question

what chevy axles came with a pitman arm style steering system and not the push pull setup?

All solid axle 67-87 (up to 91 on blazers, subs, and crew cabs) have the push/pull type pitman arm

So to answer your question, only ones with ifs 88-up, or 2wd.

Why not just pick up any solid axle Chevy ( 44 or 60 ) and convert it to cross-over steering? If it has to be a Chevy....or find a full size J truck, and use it?

Brett, the cross over is an aftermarket.
There are a million ways to accomplish it, and they range from pennies cheap (heims) to still pretty darn cheap (under $150 total)...
If you need cross over pieces I probably can put one together from the scrap pile. But as you know Im a cheap bastid and all mine use heims...

as said... most of the J trucks had T-bar style crossover, so unless u just have to have a chevy, the Jeep d44s maybe have more of what u need...
