OK. Somebody school me on front Chevy Dana 60's. I was under the impression that ALL of them had kingpin knuckes. Why is it that I always end up buying the exception:confused:? Were there ever any ball joint 60's??? Seems like I got one. Mine came off a '76 ambulance. Pics to follow.

I've read the pirate tech. That's why I am confused look check out these pics.

This came off the pirate tech:

GM

1977-87 K30 1 ton 4wd

1984-88 CUCV

1988-91.5 V30

All GM / Chevy versions were passenger side differential, regular rotation (low pinion) gears, disc brakes, 35 spline inners, 30 spline outers, internal style hubs, and KINGPIN KNUCKLES.

what you have is a d44 8 lug

Why does the rib on the housing say 60 then? Its confusing.

Edit: Ok maybe it doesn't say 60 on the housing. I gotta talk to the seller now. Appreciate the help.

It's a 44 with external lockout's.Lots of people think since they have the external lockout's they are 60's but they are'nt.
