Chevy/Delco 12si alternator clocking

I have a Chevy/Delco 12si alternator that I need to re-clock 180 degrees so the plug will point out instead of toward the engine where I can't get to it. From what I gather, I just need to remove the four bolts holding the case halves together, and then rotate the rear half without pulling them apart. Does this sound correct? Am I going to screw anything up?

its that easy. It will rotate 180 but not 90 without an adapter. Used to be a company that made a thin aluminum plate that you bolted in the would allow more options, but havent seen it lately.
