I am heading out to the URE 4x4 Cross tomorrow, Got a buddy who is camping there, he called and his full sized chevy truck has a vibe which he thinks is coming from the rear. He is worried about getting it home.
It started yesterday after he left the forest, it's a DD and he has only had it on the forest roads, But he stated it only has the vib when it is coasting, Not when he is on the gas.
He replaced the u-joints in the rear today, still has it, He said the pinion has about a 16th to a 32nd of an inch movement in and out, not side to side.
Could this cause it?
He wanted me to bring tools to try and tightn it up, Is that a good Idea?
Its a 12 bolt rear end.
Thanks for the help.
