Working on a build of a Silverado pickup truck. I have the 2wd box and a pitman arm with a small drop. Stock springs on the front, pretty flat if not neg arch, and this puts the pitman about 3" right over the spring. Have high steer arms on D60 front and the cross member is going to need some modification looks like. What to you Chevy guys do about steering link issues with D60 fronts and high steer, cross members, small area between frame and front spring, etc?

Many times the crossmember under the engine has to be modified. You can trim and re-inforce it (a lot of times it is already cracked on a stock truck) or totally replace with one made of tube that is more out of the way, like this:

And if you go hydro, which is a good choice and can be done very inexpensively, I'd say go with aftermarket knuckles. But thats mainly because I've seen one break in front of me with virtually no load on it. It was crazy...

JOhn, when I helped Andy with his, we cut the crossmember out, and relocated it out of the way. little different location, and brought it up and closer to the engine if I remember correctly.
