Chevy jerking in overdrive

I have a 89 Chevy 2500 with a 350 it jerks when it goes into overdrive it drives fine in other gears also idles really low has new plugs and wire's anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this

Faulty tps sensor possibly!? Trans been worked on before if not It may need some tLc? My 79,82, and 94 jerk but I like to think it's my trans way of being the boss and slamming itself into gear with authority...

Check for wear on distibutor drive gear.

The transfer has been replaced awhile back I'll get a tps and try that first

Alright still having problems I clean the throttle body and replaced the gear on the distributer and nothing still the same thing happening any thing else that could cause this

When you say "jerking", is it jerking once while going into overdrive, or is it jerking/surging constantly while it's in overdrive?

Jerking constantly in overdrive until it kicks down

Does it matter howfast you're going?

If I'm running 65 you can kinda fill it wanting to jerk manly does it when it low speeds and low rpm

I've never liked the way a 4 speed GM automatic felt when the converter clutch locked in OD gear. Never really figured out what caused it.

It use to be fine then it started doing this all of a sudden
