I'm working on getting my 82 with a 6BT up in the air 4" to clear some 37's and am having a hard time finding a spring that'll handle the extra weight of the cummins. I posted over on pirate and got a couple good responses: make a bastard pack out of a couple lift springs/stock springs, custom through Alcan or Deaver, and use a 6" lift spring to net me 4" after the springs have sagged (sugged? )
I'm looking for anyone with some experience here. I'd rather have the custom springs, but I'm not sure I have the time to wait 3-4 weeks or the $$ right now for them. Which has me leaning towards using 6" leaves to net 4" of actual lift.
Anyone have any insight or advice?
