what are the stock axles in a 78 cj 5? i'm thinking its a dana 30 and an amc 20 but i wanna clarify, and if i'm right whats the gear ratio?

you're right, 1978 is most likely 3.54

Dana 30 front, AMC20 rear.
'78 vintage should have the big brakes on both axles, and discs up front with the premium hub lockouts
