We just ventured back into the CJ7 world after about a 15 year hiatus. We used to go to Tarheel in Charlotte and understand they’ve moved to Midland. Will be hard to get there Monday-Friday with our work schedules. I know Ron has retired but is Steve still working on Jeep’s? Don’t need much to make a decent driver out of this one. Thanks all.

You probably remember Scott Schwabe, from Tarheel & CTB, years back. He's working for himself, & does minor work from his Iron Station home. More intense work, like gears, at a shop in Denver.
Schwabe's Off Road Service Center : 704-732-6511. [NO calls after 6pm]

I might remember him if I saw him but usually dealt with Steve. This was mid to late 90s so have lost track of folks over the years. This was the project/DD back then.

The last I heard Steve was still at Tarheel, but I went by there back in Jan and the yahoo’s at the front counter both acted like I had no idea what I was talking about and refused to go get Steve so I could talk to him about my project. I spent my money elsewhere.....

if anyone has Steve’s number and would be willing to PM it to me, I would love to catch up on some long overdue BSing with him.

Apparently he isn’t there anymore but no idea where he is now...would like to know if he is still working on Jeeps as well.
