just wondering if anyone has swapped out a set of stock cj7 axles with a set of scout 44's. I was wondering what kind of problems I would have and what kind of steering parts I would need to make the axles work with the steering. Also if I wanted to put a set of disc brakes on the rear axle, is there a vehicle I could get the brackets and callipers off of in a junk yard to make it work. thanks for any help in this matter.

THe scout 44 swap is a pretty common swap, and there are several good writeups on the web. One thing to consider is that since the front scout axle has 0 degrees of caster stock, you'll have to rotate the inner knuckles rearward by the desired amount of castor

We have done alot of these swaps over the years, not to hard of a job really, just have to outboard your front springs. I do have quit a few sets of these axles in stock, give me a call if I can help, Bob. 910-326-2881
