I just got a CJ7 with a 465 and hydraulic clutch. It works fine and fully engages and disenges. The problem is that it has about 2" of total movement and it super hard to press. I think it has a high performance clutch, but still it shouldn't be this hard. If the pedal had twice the movement I think the force would be half as much? From what I can tell it has a master slave cylinder from a 93 camaro. The slave has a this number on it "DB07ML602 A". The MC OD is 1.073" and the slave OD is 1.33". Just guessing again but I think that means 3/4" bore for the MC and 1" bore for the slave since those sizes appear to be common for a camaro.

I've spent a few hours on searchs and found this link which attempts to translate MC to SC ratios. According to some info from that page quoted below I have a good situation to reduce pedal pressure.

Choosing a larger slave for a smaller master may create a situation where the pedal pressure is reduce, but the lessened travel may not fully release a clutch.
Choosing a smaller slave for a larger master may create a situation where there is excessive pedal pressure.

My question here is what to do? Should I try 1 to 1 ratio MC to SC? I really hate guessing, so what have other people done?
