ok, so guys Im at an inpass. I am building a CJ2A with parts 99% sourced from the board, but Im at the point where I need to spend $ on brown truck supplied parts (storebought). rig will be a fully boxed frame 2A (Steel body) with a dauntless 225/sm465/d300 drivetrain. I just picked up some 4/5 leaf YJ springs. hopefully I'll be running narrow track 30/44 axles. I'll run spring under, 31" max tires. with that sprung/unsprung weight and the long travel of the YJ's should I run shocks for the YJ or the 2A? Im thinking YJ since it will be heavier than stock with the drivetrain and sport bar, P/S; but the unsprung weight will be similar to the YJ - maybe a tad lighter. overall I think that I need to match shock length to the longer intended spring flex.

am I thinking correct on this?
