So a couple of weeks ago my 1980 2.5l CJ7 died. Upon further inspection we pulled the timing cover off to reveal that the carbon fiber cam gear had about 30% of the teeth ground off. So my first question is how do you get the darn cam gear off and my second question is with the design of the engine, with the timing jump could it mess up the motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated
