Purple version of my YJ circa 2003. I painted it Cat yellow in fall of 2004 in an attempt to not be in the same house with my ex.

We had a K5 run back in May of 07. One hell of a wheeling trip. I think there were at least 10 rigs maybe a couple more. We left Crawford’s about 9am on Saturday and we finally all rolled, limped and crawled back into camp Sunday morning about 9am. Rained like a son of a bitch Friday night and up until about mid morning Saturday. Headed to Slickrock first. Didn’t know that was all we would be able to run. Burnt up winches, popped tire beads, pulling cable, miscellaneous trail side repairs and fixes. So dark that night on the trail you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face. Friday weather was awesome, ran Lower and Upper 2. Wouldn’t trade those times for anything!

I found a CD full of pics from that trip someone sent me. I still hate I missed that trip.

Still one of the best sounding jeeps ever. It was stroked and when he would call on it, it was magical sounding!

No kidding. Some of my best (and coldest) nights were spent camping off trail 5 by the creek.
Tellico started my off road addition. I was just a little feller but I remember it vividly, a lot of time spent and memories made there. Dads old tellico rig...

Met him at crawfords his first time there. He realized his rig was not quite setup for tellico. He had a full size that was quite tall. I think he spent the night broken down on school bus. My memory may not be entirely accurate but that's how I remember it lol.

Yeah I was there...riding shotgun when he broke on Schoolbus. Those 44's & tall height made it interesting.

When he first started talking about going, I said he would need a roll cage first. When I was hanging above him (it was more or less flopped on its side) by my seat belt, I said " sure do like this cage".

Met some great people, had fun overall.

Same here. July 1999 was my first trip there. Scared the crap out of me but had a blast at the same time. Pulling up to guard rail for the first time will do that to you. Especially when there was no bypass and the only way to go was up.

Nice. We that group of smaller TJs with the rv when you guys rolled in that first night. I may or may not have been under the influence so I dont really remember any conversations.
