cleaning an old BBQ grill

I got this older Char-Broil hibatchi(sp?) style grill for free. It's in great shape; it just needs a good cleaning before I cook on it. I just pressure washed the lid and the main base after spraying it down with a degreaser. What should I use to wipe down the insides to remove any remaining residue?

yeah i would just throw some lighter fluid in, light it, put the lid on and let the crap burn off. the maybe a good scrub with soap and water, and a good preheat before your first grilled meal.

You could use salt or baking soda as an abrasive on the stubborn areas. It's worked for me in the past on cast iron cookware.
