A lot of people don't know Cletus. He is the Fat Head replacement and my new buddy. Fat Head was a loyal Mud Devil member, the other Thomas, in Thomas & Thomas Roofing, He died in January of 08. My Mud Devil acquaintances held a Fat Head memorial ride for him so I could adopt another, and raised donations for the ASPCA. Their both dogs! Any way, Cletus was bitten by a snake, or stung by a thousand bees Friday night at URE. His face was so swollen his head was round with golf balls for eyes. It looked so bad, I carried fuel line to ram down his throat if it closed from the swelling So, I went to the Outpost and beat down Terry's (The Hot Dog Guy) door. I said "Cletus is hurt and I can't think. What do I do. Where is the vet". He called the main ranger and he sent us to the horse people's camp. I don't know what else to call them. We proceeded to knock on doors and woke up at least 4 people when a lady answered and shot him up with benadryl. His swelling wend down 20% in ten minutes so she gave me some vials to take with me. She would not take any money, and the people we woke up first escorted us to her camp and tried to help in any way. I don't know what to say but. THANK YOU Horse people. Oh and Terry and Belinda too.
Cletus is 95% better. He is going to be just fine. He said to tell everyone thanks. I just wish I could thank the horse people again.

This was Fat Head at the Farm... He was a mixed breed, I think he was a black angus lab.

Ok. I'm done. Thanks to everyone who cares.

I would have been losing it a bit if I were in your shoes too. Cheers to those people who helped you out.

I wouldn't have thought about the benidrill(sp) But maybe something I should start carrying in the first aid box. Glad Cletus is OK, I know how much a friend these four legged kids become.
Oh and I have a similar pic of Fat Head. Mine looks as if he is pulling the truck! He is missed!

Our yellow lab has a thing about getting stung while biting bees, you would think she would learn :shaking: About 8 years ago, we had the same thing. Head swelled up about 4 time the normal size. Rushed her to the vet after hours on the weekend all freaked out. Vet say no biggy and I looked at her like wtf lady? Gave her a couple of vials of benadryl and bam started working right away. Since then we have been through this 4 or 5 times, but always have some in the cabinet.

Wife saw one of our dogs get bit by a copperhead in our backyard. A few hours later her muzzle swelled up locally, had a softball-sized lump. Same deal at the vet....no big deal, benedryl FTW. Apparenlty copperhead venom is a lot more troublesome for humans than dogs.
RIP Fathead, he was a tiny...for a cow. Good to hear Cletus is A-OK

glad to hear the other THomas is okay.
JT you're far from okay. Just Kiddin bro.
Man you looked scared shitless when we got to Terrys Home on wheels that night. Yeah man good to hear.:beer:

Glad to help JT, officer Foote is who I called at home. You left the part out about me bringing Cletus breakfast the next morning and waking you up! LOL Belinda and I went to the "horse people" saturday afternoon and thanked them for what they done.

this is why people that are good deep down. anyone who has a passion for wheeling or horses or bikes even the guys on 4 wheelers know that when push come to shove we have to look out for each other in the world..
