Climate control question...

I've got a 95 XJ, previous owner said heat/ac didn't work for the entire 2 years he owned it, I've owned it a year now and still the problem remains.
Synopsis:
No heat/ac.
Replaced thus far: Blower motor, bm resistor (both at once), fan speed switch. checked both vacuum connections to canister are in place, canister isn't leaking. I've noticed the back light on my switch doesn't work, unless I have it on "vent" and barely tap the selector knob, then it comes on. But only thing I can get is set on vent, drive for about 20 minutes and then start getting some blow through heat, nothing fancy. My thoughts are the control switch is bad, its really the only thing left. Maybe its not fully powering the blower motor? Haven't checked for power at the motor, not sure on which pin(s) to check for power. Going to see if I can find something on Alldata at work, just wanted to ask here in the mean time.
Thoughts on this, anyone? Thanks in advance for any insight, really would like to get this working. Its been 2 cold ass winters since I took ownership and its time to fix this.

Alright, I'll work on this tomorrow. Thanks for the insight, I'll report back what I find.

Edit: Going to be pissed*** if somehow the blower motor is bad again. The resistors a little cheaper, but... just sayin. I'm assuming that the climate control switch is what powers/grounds the motor?
