ok so i am lifting a truck with an NP205(married case). i want to try and get a better front driveshaft angle, without going to get high pinion axles. so the t-case has the circle style six bolt pattern. can i clock the case around one hole and and reconfigure the shift linkage to get the angle i want or i am going to run into big problems if is even possible? thanks for any help or advice.

It would help a lot if you told us what vehicle this is in and what trans it is matted too.

It is not as simple as just unbolting and indexing the trans case. You will need a clocking ring for the NP205 here is a link to one. Again not 100% sure it will work for your application becasue I don't know your application.

Married NP205's are tricky... Better do your homework for there's a tremendous amount to find out about it! For one, the shift linkage will need major mid's. Easiest fix is to just throw in a NP208 with a clocking ring and be done!

Sorry about the lack of information Wrangler. the truck is a '78 f150 short bed. i'm not exacly sure about the the model b ut the trans is the stock 4 speed w/ granny gear(nicknamed the bulldog i think). i looked up the clocking ring, is that index for a locating pin or something on the tcase? i have seen people do the 205/ 208 combination but i am trying to avoid that because the truck is a shortbed and that would shorten the rear driveshaft and the 208 just isn't very strong from what i have seen in the past
