whats the difsferance between the open and closed knuckle 60 front? like the ones in the m715 military truck?

typically the closed knuckle 60 ran tracta joints in them, which are far inferior to the Ujoint setup... they also typically have drums brakes F&R

The M715 dana 60 axles are more like dana 44s as far as strength goes.

They have 1.31, 30 spline inner shafts and like 1.33" 21 spline outers.

Closed knuckle=wider turn radius

Crappy drum brakes, or $$$$ discs

The rear is beefier dana 70 with 1.5" 23 spline shafts.
