Does any one know if I can hook my 1987 clutch master to the 1994 slave cylinder? the 1994 slave cylinder has a pin that holds the line in it and it uses a plastic freakin line what would I use to mate the two together?
they use the same fittings on the slave end dont they. when seperating the line from the slave cyl you dont unbolt anything you just "pop" the line out *assuming your talking about the YJ*
Yeah I'm sorry it is a YJ The 94 slave has a pin you have to drive out I think. I havent tried pulling but there is a pin of some sort. my line is melted and I want to use a steel line if possible.
Yeah the pin in the master cylinder you just have to punch out. But if you are wanting to replace that line I think you will have to go with the same line b/c I dont *think* there is a fitting that you can put in there w/ a steel line.
Hmmm... looking at pictures off partsamerica... that might not be correct.. Does the MC have a pin in it?

Which engine do you have? The reason I ask is that the 6 cylinders in 19887 - 1989 had a piece of shit BA 10/5 tranny and then in 99 they switched to the AX-15. Therefore I would assume that the parts will not interchange.
Now they have used the same tranny in the 4 cylinder from 1987 - 1995 (maybe 1996). Therefore the parts may be interchangable but then again may not be.
I think I would look at swapping the master cylinder from the 94 into the 87 as well. It may work I am not real sure I have never tried it before.
yes that is what I am doing putting a 94 4.0 into my 87 YJ. Guess I'll try to see if the 94 master will work on the 87 firewall. And yes I am ditching the BA10 for the AX15.

I replaced my external slave with a GM #15534378, for a Camaro I think. Gets rid of the plastic line, which melted on me at Harlan last year, then you can use standard brakeline and fittings.
