Co-worker is looking for unibody and floor pan work on 1970 Mustang Convertible

Currently its a shell on wheels, no interior, no glass etc.
He has panels etc.

I've not seen it, but have told him to get pictures.

He knows what shop rates are and is willing to pay fair price for work.

He has NO time frame to have this done by, only wants it done by someone competent to do the work.

He's in North Raleigh but is willing to allow the car to be worked on more/less anywhere in NC.

Please no friend of a friend stuff, i got to work with this guy so only someone you know or seen their work and would recommend.

What ya got?

This may sound totally obsure, but I bought parts for the 68 Camaro I'm building off a guy in Knightdale who does really good fab work. I've seen his work and it is really good. I was going to have him do the metalwork on the Camaro, but a family friend did it for almost nothing so I took it there instead.

Can't find any of his contact info except for his email, though. His name is Eric, his email is slater7460ATbellsouthDOTnet

He's an older guy, knows his stuff, had some cars in magazines. His prices seemed more than reasonable, he was about $2k less than any other shop I talked to on my metal work.

He may or may not remember me, but tell him the guy with the purple AMX who is building the 68 Camaro for his brother-in-law sent you.

Not sure of shops that aren't hours away from him, but the scorpion, al's, or lizard skin is a damn good investment. Another thing to keep in mind is adding subframe connectors. I have a 66 coupe and have had a 68 and a 69 both fastbacks. The connectors are an easy add while doing work on the pans and rails, and tighten up the handling of the car tremendously.

Comer's Mustang in Greensboro is DAMN GOOD....they just finished a buddies full resto...

Fair price too

Older guy (late 50s) all he does is Mustang retos...and is dammn good at it,

Gary Corley, Corley Body Works is my brother in law. He has full references/photo albums to showcase his work. Located in Hiddenite NC PM for the phone number if interested. He has done 2-3 concourse restos and everything in between.

One more option (and a support a board member one to boot) Easy Steve's Dad runs one of the baddest resto hot rod shops on the east coast in Belews Creek, NC...multiple mag covers, more trophies than you cold count and damn good work.

He's a great builder/fab/engine/whatever guy. Specialises in hotrods/drag cars. VERY resonable. He's in Mooresville.

Tell him CJ gave you his info.
