where can I find some in Clayton Wendell area ?

yes, it's a stocking stuffer.

the belief is there, so I want to make it as realistic as possible

Charcoal is easy to pass off as a " Dad did that "

they make coal bubblegum that looks good... take it out of the packaging and you should be good as long as she doesn't try to eat it ;)

Depending on how much you need there's some remnants in my back yard from an old pile? Pieces range from 1"-1.5" Dia.. I will be coming to J-County to my mom's for Christmas sometime? Or can send by mail. Approximately a couple handfulls? Free located in N. Durham. I used them last Xmas...

If you were closer, or if you plan to head towards Mooresville NC this week, I could hook you up.

Got a power plant nearby? Mine runs on coal.

Progress Energy in Moncure is a coal plant where its brought in by the train cars. I think I've seen some on the side of the tracks coming in and out of that place as it falls off.

And, its not too far from Clayton

I have some left over from Windrock and Harlan that I picked up for "fun" and am now using it as a stocking stuffers for several people :D

Go to any of the tracks that go into a steam plant. There's one over by Sherrills Ford or down by Mt Holly. Like said above, there will be coal laying all over the place. Park beside the road, you won't have to walk far.

A short walk down any railroad should get a piece or 2.
Disclaimer: there trains on them rails ..... don't get hit!
