Anyone using a cobra 75 series radio? I like that it is so compact, i have very little room in the cj5. If no experience with this radio what do yall recomend for a smaller cb?

I've had mine a couple years now. I love it because you can easily remove it when not on the trail. It's nice not having to worry about it getting stolen when your top and doors are off.

Most of the small radio's do a good job if the antenna is properly grounded and tuned. The antenna is the key to making it work!

I've got two I move around amongst my vehicles and they have been great. Like Terry said the antenna is the most important thing in a CB setup. Get a good antenna, install in the right place, get it tuned and you will have no problems from a 75 or any other CB.

thanks guys! sounds like it will be the one im getting. i can onlyt afford one so it will get moved from vehicle to vehicle. So if i get a 4 foot firestik i should be headed in the right direction?

I had one for a while in my reg cab yota. It was great because it didnt take up any room. The only thing I didnt like about it is when you are bouncing around on the trails the volume and squelch can get "adjusted" for you. I have since mounted a small cobra CB in my dash under my radio.
