I have grown tired of my 8 o'clock regular and tried JFG, but I am still happy. I don't want any of your mocha chocha bullshit. I am a man I drink black coffee 1.5 Tb to six cups. What are your recommendations? 14 years ago when in the trades s&d out of Concord was not bad. Trying to keep affordable.

I buy the local medium roast that Costco sells. Full bean, grind it as needed, brewed through a V60 pour over if it’s for me or a large chemex if we have guests.
I drink mine black as well.

In Raleigh I bought Larry’s Beans.

I am a bit of a coffee snob, I used to drink all day long at work. Then I figured out the acid was screwing with my stomach and my shit. I now drink cold brewed coffee but I drink it hot. I cold brew a batch with this

We buy whole bean dark roast whatever is on sale. Some Charleston company lately and grind it at home. One bag makes about enough to last the week between my wife and I. I'm down to one cup of black coffee a day. I'll take the concentrate and put it in the cup first them pour hot water from an electric kettle into my cup, .......Instant coffee.
This method reduced the acidity to the point that it doesn't screw with my acid reflux as much and I can make it as strong as I want by adjusting the amount of concentrate I pour in. I'll order coffee when we are out occasionally but it never tastes as good to me as mine. We also take it with us when we visit family or go on vacation if we can bring a cooler with us.

1.5TB to six cups…of 8 o’clock? You don’t drink coffee. You drink water. 😁

Honestly, for the major brands, Folgers Black Silk is full flavored.

My kid works at that Starbucks, so we get free coffee. I can’t stand the stigma behind Starbucks, but free is free and the over roast their beans and I like dark roast.

Store bought - Cafe Bustelo
Better - Big Kick Coffee of Charleston I like Holy City and Italian Expresso
Best - Cafe Oro from Honduras, Very Rich, Dark ,Smooth coffee

I was on a cruise recently and we had the drink package so you could get starbucks coffee for free. I liked the cafe Americana way better than the free coffee from the windjammer (floating Golden Coral)

I usually drink Black Rifle or Folgers at home.

So I have unfortunately turned into a coffee snob. I have tried so many different brands and regions. I have found I like a lot of the whole bean coffees (especially the Colombian and Sumatran medium roasts) from Lowes Foods (if they have a beer den then they also have the Boxcar coffee bar and the whole bean coffee you can grind yourself).
