I am about to take my leafs off my 04 Nissan Xterra. I hate the ride when im wheeling. I already have 10" coil over up front w/ my dana 44 (sas). In the rear i got a ford 9. I want a better a ride when wheeling. this is a trail rig only. so wat are pro's and cons of each. I will go 2 a 12" coil over up front tho.\

\thanks

if you already have coilovers up front I would just run airshocks in the rear. The biggest con of running airshocks in the rear with coilovers in the front is that the rear may tend to unload a little coming down steep hills. but with a winch and limiting straps (plus the right valving in the airshocks and right suspension geometry) its not a big deal.

If you don't drive on the street I would run the air shocks, keep it light in the rear and run a suspension winch as said above. Coilovers are going to cost quite a bit more but are more stable, more tunable and will have less sway when the proper spring rates are applied. I have several of each on the shelf, let me know if I can help.

let me know your best price on Fox' Coil Over (2) 12" and (2) 16" both w/ resovoir (sp?). just let me know ill need the coils as well. do you sell lockers as well? if you do i need a front for my dana 44 w/ 5.13 gears (detroit locker). and for this project i need fuel cell as well. just let me know thanks jonathan

As a rough estimate a remote res coilover runs roughly 500 per corner and a air shock is around 220. To many its well worth the extra money.
