best price for the money. what brand ?
my air shocks have already started leaking and my bronco is sitting on the rear bump stops . they only have a few wheeling trips on them. im thinking of swapping over to coil overs. anyone else had this problem ? i can say it might be my own fault because i first went out and did not have any type of limiting straps or bump stops and they kept bottoming out very hard in up and down travel. maybe i should just have them rebuilt. suggestions welcome.

I like the SAW's over Fox for 2 reasons:

the nickel plating should last longer..
everything comes off the bottom. with the Fox, if you want to add a tender spring, for example, the top has to come off.

Where would you get these shocks? Air and coil overs.
i got mine from stud nuts.
I can rebuild your shocks if they need it. Dont get the rock equipments, they are horrible.
jon, ill take you up on that please. thanks for the offer.
ill look into the coilovers that rich mentioned when i can afford them . like after christmas. i just need mine fixed for crozet ride on jan. 20th.

Yeh, but at least the spring cup won't fall of the bottom, and the dual rate sliders fall apart with fox co's.

They do suck as far as rusting, and the saw's don't have those :gay: a$$ spacers for the bolts.

The spring cup won't fall out the bottom if you run tenders or have the springs seated at full extension.. ;)

You can take the lower spring seat off of the Fox. You have to move the spring seat up and remove a snap ring, and two o-rings, but then everything will come off.

I have first hand experience with the Fox and SAW, and I prefer the SAW.

Slowandold on Pirate has the best prices, but isn't much help on choosing springs. I bought mine from Poly, I paid alittle more, but also got advice and tech from them.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply the lower doesn't come off.. Something with the way Fox has threads cut into the body and SAW has raised threads, means you can't unscrew the secondary stop rings on the Fox to get the slider for the tenders on without taking the top off, IIRC.

But, since you have air shocks already, you could rebuild yours AND buy a spare for less than what it will cost you to sell yours (after being rebuilt) and buying coilovers, springs, etc...

I thought my buggy was going to be too heavy to make good use of air shocks.. MAN was I wrong!!

I wonder if it riding so low and going to complete, total compression all the time let some of the dirt that always builds up on the shaft tear up the seals?

King coilovers are kinda pricey but there is a guy that works at downsouth motorsports (he has an ebay store) that has some pretty good deals on them. Plus I believe he does free shipping. Thats where I got mine from. Good quality and a good price for the brand. I know they are exspensive, but just an idea.

i think so. the seals are what seem to be the problem.
