Same mission here in the mountains, solid 4-5" down so far and still dumping.

Typically takes me 20 mins there and back, just now a little over 2 hours:shaking:

Loads of tourists here who have *no* idea how to deal with snow... Definitely saw a piece of tire chain whipping around soon to take out a brake line.
 
still snowin in kernersville. got the chains in the jeep and plow on the tractor. time to see if i can make some money. chris.
 
Bout 6 inches here in Elkin NC and snowing like theres no tomorrow! I have already been out in Toe Jamm, Leatherneck, and my 4 wheeler.
 
Bout 6 inches here. I was about 10 mins from leaving for work, and they called and said plant was shut down for 24 hours!
So Now I get to go play!
 
I just went out to measure it here. Its almost 8" on the hood of the wifes new mustang. Theres not very much on the dodge...oh wait ive been out in it all day must of blown off
 
It's about 3" of snow in northwest Greensboro and the roads are terrible up here. Lot's of wrecks on Old Oak Ridge Rd. But now I got a case of yuenling!:beer::beer:
 
We've got around 8 inches here (just south of Asheville). I got to test out the new jeep Commander, it was a BEAST!!! Of course it would dump the snow while the WJ is on jackstands :(

I was ROFL earlier at all the idoits out in their 2wd cars trying to get up hills. I saw one rice burner complete with fart can muffler & rear wing just sitting and spinning trying to get out of a parking lot going downhilll. Too bad I didn't have a camera, it was classic!
 
wtf. why do people buy milk,eggs,bread ? i went to the store today and the milk and eggs were just about gone. as long as i have a way to cook im eating real meals. anyway dosent anyone ever think peanut butter ? you can live a long time on that.

Just measured 16" on front deck at sugar mtn

got to say excursion with 35 s and really tire chains kicks ass
 
I went too boone at noon and came back down through aho road ,if you know where that is , drove in 8inches fresh powder what a blast ,, bout four incheshere in lincolnton, lots of sleet now
 
Bro just called and said they closed down 421 North of downtown Boone... drifts and not able to make out the road or something...

We've got maybe 6" or so here so far and it's pouring... about to hook some sleds up behind the truck for awhile...
 
pulled some friends out tonight on there way home from work. most any road now thats not a 2 lane highway or interstate is almost unrecognizable, took some really "back" back roads and it was fun as hell. going first thing in the morning to pick my sis up from work, and Ill try to get some video of the trip. ahhhh, good times! :)
 
Well Kannapolis just got a dusting and then that was coated with sleet and then rain. I'm sure it will be like jagged glass in the morning on the roads.
 
my dodge has 37s and the snow is up to the center of the hubs.
 
Huntersville seems to be getting slush and ice, bummer:driver:
 
The first pic was about 11am and the second was around 1:30pm now we have about 6''.
