It's the Rockin' and Racin' weekend event Thanksgiving a Weekend. And we have a HUGE weekend planned.....

First of all, we have spent two years trying to get this band on our stage.... Most everyone knows Jessee Dupree from the hit TV show Full Throttle Saloon. He is also the lead singer for rocker group Jackyl. Jesse also manages the band Wayland from Grand Rapids Michigan. We are so excited to have Wayland performing on our main stage at this weekend event. They will take the stage at 7:30pm on Saturday, November 28th.

Gates will open at 10am on Friday and will remain open through Sunday at 1pm.

This weekend will feature a little bit of everything off road. Mud bogging, trail riding, stock car racing, tough truck tug-o-war, camping and so much more with live music and camping both Friday and Saturday nights

Here's one of the music videos from the rock band Wayland. More details will be posted at Antiochspeedway.net very soon

Here's some more action added to the Thunder in the Valley event!!! We are excited to announce another off road motor-sports event. The Ridge Runners off road course through the woods will be raced on by 4wd trucks. Fastest through the course of hill climbs, mud pits, and other natural terrain obstacles is the winner. 1 truck at a time through the course. $10 entry fee for this event. The winner's purse will be $100 plus all entry fees. In other words if 20 trucks enter, the ...winner takes home $300. More truck entries equals more money for the winner. This will be done in 2 divisions 1-street legal, 2 - modified. Trucks can practice on Friday (optional) and race on Saturday. The truck tug-o-war on Friday evening will also be done in 2 divisions 1- street legal and 2 - modified. These pay a minimum of $200 to the winner with a minimum of 4 entries in each class.... More info on this within a day or so. Also, we are very excited to add the Vintage Race Cars to our stock car racing program for that Saturday, November 28th. All of these events will be added to the website within a day. Invite and share the event with your friends and help us make this Thanksgiving weekend event one to remember with your friends!!! Check it all out at www.antiochspeedway

Okay 4wd truck guys and girls, Quad and trail bike racers and trail riders....we'd like to have your pictures of your rides for our online program too. The stock car racers have been sending us in their pictures daily. Now we need yours too. Even if you are just riding the trails and not competing in the truck, quad or trail bike events, send us your pictures of your ride with your name and hometown. We want to put it online on our website and show off your ride to all of the people coming out to the Thunder In the Valley event Thanksgiving weekend!!! Check out the online program for the event as it develops at this link to our webpage program

Getting close now.....just two weeks till the gates open for Thunder in the Valley...Thanksgiving weekend. So far, we have heard from people coming from 8 states ( North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, New York, Michigan, and Nevada.) The place is going to be packed out!!!!! I'd say we will still have some people from Georgia too before it's over. Discount tickets are still on sale online at www.antiochspeedway.net Plus....don't forget...send us your pics of your trucks, quads and bikes to put on our online program. Stock car racers have been sending us their pics daily. We want to show you off too. The Ridge Runners Off Road course will be ready soon. fastest truck through the course wins!!!!! Fastest quad wins and fastest trail bike wins!!!

Has a good weekend at the speedway this weekend. Jason put up new lights in turns 1 & 2 on the speedway and still has plans to add more lighting this week. Patrick laid out the Ridge Runners' 4 x 4 race course. Looks like fun. Plenty of natural obstacles, hills, turns, some mud....it's going to be fun. Nothing too tough on this course though. It's a course that will challenge the built trucks, but also a course that stock suspension can navigate through. The toughest hills and mud holes are not on this course, but will be open for people to play on Friday and Saturday. And then I worked on several maintenance projects that needed to be worked on to get ready for the big Thanksgiving weekend. Please keep sending us pictures f your rides ( stock cars, trucks, quads, bikes) so I can add you to our online program for people to see. This program will help build the excitement for the event when people see you pictures on it. If you already sent in your pic, and I did not get it on the program, please send it again. I have been copying pics from several different pages where people are sending them in, and I'm sure I have missed some. I know there was a guy with a Camaro from Wythville, VA that sent in his pic, and I can not find that picture anywhere to add it to the program. Finally, we had more people take advantage of the online sale on advance tickets for the event over the weekend. That sale will remain on through this weekend, but then I have to take it off the website, so that everyone as their tickets in time for the events. Check it all out along with schedules, the online program, and discount ticket prices at www.antiochspeedway.net
So far we have heard from people from 8 states coming to the event (NC, SC, Va, Tn, Mi, NY, WV, and Nv.)
