Working on a new venture with a water treatment company in Asheboro. We need metal C channel "skids" that are forklift ready to mount large (3' Dia x 7' tall) water filters and contact tanks. Need skids for a single, double and triple filter units which would be 40" wide and lengths of 40", 80" and 120" ballpark). Filters will need bolt holes for mounting and we will need to work together to figure out the hole positioning. Total weight with 3 filters full of media is 10K lbs.

This will be ongoing business but we need would like a prototype within 2-3 weeks. Please no backyard welders, as these will be powder coated / painted and are part of the "presentation" for our filter units. I have some images of past work I can send for review. We know that good isn't cheap and cheap isn't good, but the quality of welds/ workmanship MUST be great. This isn't a "bid" type job and you will not be undercut for a few $$. That is my word. Local is better, but not the main concern.

If this is something your business may be interested in, we will need to see some of your past work or in process work as well.

Give me a call at 336.267.1091 or franklin 2 7 3 1 6 at gmail dot com

Do you have a shop drawing PDF or CAD file, or even a napkin sketch? Thickness of materials?

I represent 3-4 metal fab shops in charlotte area, and transport isnt and issue. We do high end metal fabrications and install in the southeast.

If you have a drawing shoot me and email.

Tandemloc Inc. could definitely get it done and if it's meant for lifting, they can pull test it in house. They also mag check all of their structural welds and won't pass it if it isn't 100% penetration.

We ship all over the world and get great rates with freight companies. Getting it to you isn't a problem at all. It'd definitely be worth checking out and don't let the website fool you, we do a LOT of custom stuff.

We were also on TV recently :D I'm in the video at the 1:02 mark and cutting a sheet of 4" A36 steel :huggy:

Thanks for the interest guys. Its first come first serve so that is the list I am going down. Will be in touch if necessary

Need to be AISC certified?

What QA procedures? Weld certs required? MTRs? Certified MTRs?

I have a friend that is a PM at a shop local to me and all they do is structural steel fab. They have done good work for me in the past and very quick turnaround. It's a fairly small shop and every customer is important to them.
