Comp cutting and 9"stretch on a 2 door JK

Over the weekend we cycled the suspension and welded in the shock brackets and installed the drive shaft supplied by Carolina Driveline.
Stuff and cut!

We also had to remove the armor to cut around the rear tire carrier. We welded nuts on some 1" flat plate to sandwich the armor to the body and make it more ridged.

Now it's time to take the armor off and weld in tabs for the inner fender liner.

These little boogers took a minute to drill and cut

All welded in and ready to go!

Now the jeep has been stripped down and all the armor is at the paint shop for paint. That will give me time to install the JK 4 door parking brake cables along with extending some of the wiring and boxing in some of the areas that were cut out for the stretch

Well I decided to stop by 4 wheel parts and test out the articulation on the RTI ramp before I weld in some of the the areas that I cut and cleared for the tires. I have just a little more trimming on the frame in the rear but I am close to having it all dialed it. Thanks Ryan and Will for the help!!!

Selling your tie rod and drag link huh? What are you changing your front set up to?

Working on the trim pieces today. I took some 1 1/4 x1/4 flat stock and made the rear trim, drilled and tapped the fenders and now to just etch prime and paint. This will match the front fender trim which will be sanded and painted jet black. This will also help keep the paint on the fenders LOL! This is easy to touch up!!!
