Computer reflashing

Curious to know if anyone has done this talked to a gentlemen and he said he installed a 6.0 out of a gto into his 99 wrangler and took the ecm to the chevy dealership and had them burn in the jeep vin into the computer to make it DOT emissions legal.. what's your ideas or opinions on this

Where could one go to do so

Any tuner that has the appropriate software to do so.

Efilive and hp tuners are just two examples.

EFI Live MAY let you, but HP Tuners absolutely will not. It's got to do with the operating system not matching the VIN.

Very few modules would allow anything but a specific range of vin numbers.
