trying to bring some speed back to my parents computer that runs XP. when they got it (3 yrs ago +?), it was lightning. now it's snail.
i have removed alot of unused software, all my old media files, run ad-aware, avg, defragmented, and still see no (noticeable) performance increase.
The NTFS drive has about 125GB or more free space.
the FAT32 drive says its 4GB, but shows only about 607 MB of free space. the only things i see on that drive are a system recovery file that is like 212 KB and a folder called Temp that is empty.
What is taking up all the space on the FAT32? The OS? Is this low memory the culprit of the performance issue? If so, how can i resolve it?
any other suggestions?
thanks
