Huge thanks to John Harper for lending a hand during the pour.. He's helped me when ever ive asked no questions asked.. (Don't worry he's not shy about return favors)

Anyway.. This one went very well and while im no pro im really getting the hand of this... This ones not perfect and i really didnt do the finish grading right and i should have put some gravel down but it would have cost me the same for gravel as more concrete but pouring more concrete was easier.. No rebar just fiber added to the mix..

the pics...
1) the form. just 2x6 staked in place. Was foggy yesterday am..
2) The pour just before the last float
3) 1/2 of it broom finished..

Nice job, what are you going to do with the retaining wall? Leave it as is or continue it beside the new slab?

Yag, when ever you need a skid steer loader to move all that dirt in the backyard with, let me know. I'm just a few miles down the road.

wall - tenative plans are to continue the wall further down then redo the curved/taper part down there.. I may get some larger rip/rap sized rocks and just lay them down and make it one less spot i need to mow or landscape :)

kyle - thanks for the offer i will give ya a shout when i get to that point... Im working on finding (and getting) some larger basketball sized rocks to make a small retaining wall in the back yard.. Had the chance to move the dirt so i did. I get a head of my self with the planning so i think on it some before i do anything... If you in the area swing by im still open to sugestions at this point..

Nice job Mike.... More 'crete is one of the many things on my to-do list for the house..
