anyone know anyone in charlotte are that can lay me a concrete slab about 4"-6" deep with 15'x8' dimensions? Any perhaps a general price range. I just need somewhere i can park my car and no lay in the dirt.

Thomas concrete in Rock Hill.

Brett, PM me for a hook up.

I laid my own :) I did 2 seperate 10x20 slabs then the contoured/ tapered section that ties to the original driveway. I graded it, put gravel down, and framed the sides with 2x6s. I rented a bull float the first time, but just bought one and some extension handles.
I had called for some quotes and they were all over the place.
I've got ~$1400 in concrete, $120 float, $30 hand tools, $30 lumber, $40 gravel.
I was very nervous the first pour, but then got more comfortable with it. I learned a few tricks by the time I was done. I'd say my job is an 8, and it's definitely better than my original driveway, and I can happily say I did it myself.
I broom finished it for traction and did a simple edge like you'd see on a sidewalk.

What im saying is, with some work you can do a decient job your self and save some $$..

There's tons of concrete people in charlotte... just google concrete and put in your zip code...

does it need reinforcing? fiber, wire mesh?

The size you have listed is between 1.5-2.25 yds of concrete... I think the smallest anyone will deliver is 3 yds.

But yeah, if you frame it and finish it, it's only going to cost you the cost of concrete...

Also, you may want to look at doing some type of expansion joint especially if you plan to park on it, etc. You could probably just hand trowel it in.

Yager, has yours started cracking yet? it seems very long not to have any joints... also is it flush with your house?

nope not cracked yet, even with the 12,000# u-haul sitting on it :D mine is 5-6" thick, with fiber. But I do plan to put a cut joint in the center to make 2 10x10 sections. I've got fiberboard between the different pours.

No definitely not flush with house (i guess the pic makes it look that way) there is a ~12" where my drain pipe and gravel runs. I'm not an engineer by any stretch but i feel I did enough homework to make it come out well..

here ill waste more space....
