I’m contemplating a flat bed for my F350, What looks best on a SRW, I don’t really won’t any tool boxes or anything on the sides, just kinda want a run of the mill flat, about the only thing this truck does is haul tractors, hay or equipment

Personally, I think a skirted flatbed looks better than a plain one, plus they add a lot of useful storage.

On a regular cab, I'd go plain flat bed, or boxes in front of the wheels. I actually have plans somewhere for a flat bed I was gonna put on my 78 ford, before I realized that a utility bed fit my needs a little better, and was cheaper.

On a crew cab, skirted just looks better, plus the bonus of storage for tools, floor jack, and the previously mentioned chains, binders, straps. Even with a tongue box on YOUR trailer, you never know when you might need to pull someone, or THEIR trailer.

Mid State Truck Beds in Denton is about the cheapest around for a basic no frills flatbed.

X2 on a skirted option. Chains, binders, straps etc have a home.
I second this. Mid State is great.

Says the man that removed a kickass aluminum skirted flatbed to put a plain flatbed on his truck............

Edit; I know you did it to convert to a dump, but the irony was to strong to resist here....

:flipoff2: When a plain flatbed is $2200, and a skirted is $4700, and the toolboxes on the skirted are too small for a chainsaw, you do what you gotta do! Long term plan is to add toolboxes at the rear also, and maybe a skirt around the wheelwells. It will all be stationary though, so the dump bed works independent. But time/money/motivation all have gotten in the way of that, so it may never happen. :D

I looked up to see what they are going for, and flatbeds have easily gone up 50-100% in price since December! This was a useful tool for the CM beds. I got mine from the Big Tex dealer in Greensboro:

I've got a flat bed on my 78 C10. I personally think the plain beds look best, but see the usefulness of boxes as well. Also, I'll second that having dump is awesome. Oh, and having pockets to put sides on is a must IMHO.

There's an older model Super Duty, [thinking 7.3] dually, with black steel flatbed, for sale in Mount Holly; just below my house. Real Shiny Red one. Maybe just polished up pretty. Bed has probably been added. I haven't stopped, but If your interested, I can.
