Converting my TJ 4 banger to a 4.0 stroker?

I am looking to start getting the stuff together to build a 4.0 stroker for my 97 4 cylinder TJ.

I am looking for suggestions for a donor vehicle to get the motor out of. I am finding a lot of wreck Cherokees on Craigslist with the 4.0 in it. I would like to buy an entire vehicle so I have the computer and wiring harness.

My question is will I be able to use the wiring harness and computer out of a 95-99 Cherokee? Because we all know I live in Guilford County and I have to pass emissions. I want to get the donor vehicle in the next couple months so I can build it as a stroker and spend the winter putting in my TJ.
 
You will need the tranny from the donor vehicle also....21vs 23 spline with the 4.0

Yes I know I am mainly worried about a motor right now. I want keep it a 5 speed so I will find one out of a wrangler once I have the 4.0 built.
