Looking to take the lil lady out for dinner tonight...nothing fancy, just nothing like Applebees, TGIF, or anything like that. Want something with good food and a cool atmosphere and a good beer selection. Went to the mellow mushroom couple weeks ago and that has got to be one of my favorites. Thought about Liberty, or Bonefish Grill, or Giannos, but just wanted to get some other ideas...trying to google some places, but alot of them don't have websites where you can view pics or the menu.

Go down to Walker ave and eat at Stickes and stones (pizza, good beer) or right across the street to the filling station. Stop bye Best way when you leave to pick up a 6 pack of good beer. Their beer selection will supprise you.

Hilly billy hideaway is a cool place to eat over at belews creek....

Giannos is good for pizza, etc. For seafood and a good glass of wine, I'd try O'so Tavern on Samet Drive. They are owned by the same group, but completely different menus. Both are really good and don't have that "cookie cutter" feel that the big chain restaurants have like Liberty and Bonefish.

went over to Tripps off Bryan Blvd and New Garden, and was surprised how good my steak was.
How about Green Valley Grill at the O'Henry hotel, near Friendly center. We havent been there since we've had kids (almost 7 years now :bounce2:), but we used to hit that frequently. They always had some good new specials, and the standard offerings were pretty good as well.
Then of course Kabuto's can be entertaining and different.

I've heard good things about Liberty Steakhouse in HP. Supposed to have a good beer selection, and I think an in-house brewery.

I was there last Saturday night. They have GREAT beer. If you go, you HAVE to try the patriot porter, its amazing, maybe my favorite beer of all time. Its an awesome atmosphere and they have a nice patio. I also had some pretty good fish and chips there.

About this mellow mushroom, do they have a bar?

YES! and a crazy draft selection. A bunch of stain glass windows and low lighting....very cool and "mellow" atmosphere. some of the best pizza I have ever had.

There is a restaurant in the BB&T stadium! Can't recall the name and they have odd hours. You enter through main front gate (door on left is open) and get on the elevator to 4th floor. We usually eat on the outside balcony overlooking the football field! Only place around like it for sure!

Hate to dig up an old Thread....but now its my birthday and I want to go to someplace cool.
I really wanted to try out Bin 33 downtown, but its no longer there.....Wanted something with a cool view, possibly sit outside.
I absolutely love Crafted, but I have been eating there alot lately, and would rather try someplace different.
Thought about going to Graffiti's Bistro.....seems like a cool place and menu seems like a lot of good food. Also gotta have something where I can get a couple good beers!
