I have a 86 4runner with a 4.3 ltr carburated, bored .040 over, Flat top pistons. My question is will a 3.0 ltr toyota stock 3row aluminum radiator with a 165 degree thermostat do the cooling job? If not does anyone know where I can get a conversion radiator. I am in the army and dont have alot of money so any advice would be appreciated.

don't know if it will work, but if it gets close, you can use a 143 degree thermostat out of a 4.3L mercruiser sterndrive marine engine. The lower temp doesn't hurt the engine, it may give you a bit more leeway before it over heats, will probably be real cold natured in the winter(swap the 160 back in), if you try to go with fuel injection at any point, you will have to go back to a hotter thermostat. The lower thermstat will not fix a radiator thats too small, but it may help you crutch it to get by
