ive got a 750 4 bbl holley on my jeep and while it runs great its rich as hell and cant be tuned in anymore. what would be the correct CFM carb to get? im lookin at holley truck avenger. 470 too small? maybe a 670 cfm would better suite the cherokee?

oh yeah its completely stock engine except a msd coil.

670 is said to be correct but id go with the smaller one for a trail rig for better idol quality and response just remember your better too small than to large have u considered a 600 eddelbrock . just dont let someone tell you that u need some big carb based off a 360 cid x 6000 rpm . what rpm are u really going to be turning

im open to whatever works. i think the next size down truck avenger is a 470, could be too small. was told to change jets on my 700 as it should work?

Id go with either a 600cfm square bore, or a "smaller" QJet spread bore style.

I am not impressed with the TAs, YMMV

MOTORCRAFT, you wont be dissapointed!

i run a edelbrock 600cfm on my built 360 and it runs like crap(probably tuning),i would agree on motorcraft, but i only has experiance with 2bbl. also q-jet turned around backwards(hillbilly FI)works great, and remember the first ever rockcrawling comp. was won by Chris Durham's J-10 with q-jet,it spanked curries fire ant TJ.

I run a 600 truck avenger and have 0 problems. I have climbed some steep stuff and no stall.
my air to fuel meter reads stoc.

personally its been much better then the stalling edelbrock or the week motorcraft 2 barrel. it fires right up after a pat of the pedal.
well worth the $

600 is your typical holley bandaid carb for most engines 300-400ci, but as was said...get a q-jet instead. Save money and get a better suited carb.
