Dont think I would be posting an asking people to wheel a Couch Mtn. I have rode there all my life. For the people that dont know it is not legal to wheel there. I know everyone that owns land there an those that hold keys to be able to ride there. No idea. Im looking at uwharrie next October 12-14

My point is, this is what got it shut down last time. I would be very carefull about riding there, when the wrong person finds out there are people inviting other people to the Mtn. It will be shut down again. I know several of the people in the pics an am sure they had permission. But bringing a crowd wont last long. Just a heads up.
Not my point, I said im sure they had permission. The point is thats what got it shut down last time. People riding that other land owners dont know. Thats what got it shut down last time.Post #6 said they had permission and a key

i thought the kid (teenager)that died up there from drinking, while on meds is what got it shut down before. atleast that was what i was told. either way its nice to see it getting some use again.
when you get to the first split in the road(coming in from hoopers creek) is it still shut down to the left or did that get opened back up?
Yoderboy you're thinking about Major Mt.
yea i know its locked....but if you do happen to have a key, is the whole area accessable like 12-15yrs ago. or is parts of it still closed?
i miss major mt too.
And did anyone here go and play on the rocks, rough cut roads, when the DOT was building I-26 through madison county?
Did that yellow Comanche used to belong to Gene Hicks?
